Small Steps, Big Impact

Start NOW. Start with the knowledge and understanding you have at this moment. You probably don’t know what every step of the journey looks like yet, and that is okay. You don’t need to know what every part looks like. The only things you need to know are that this goal means something to you, and what the first step is for you. Maybe the first step is to get more information about how to start, or to call that one contact you have to ask for help, maybe it's looking up and cooking that first healthy recipe, or it could be putting your first $5 into a savings account, going for a walk to start your journey of being more active/healthy. No matter how small that first step is though, take it, and do it today.

The steps I am talking about taking are almost never going to be big and sexy. Which is great, because that means they don’t have to be widely visible (unless you want them to be). They are the small steps that most of the time only you know about, but they are also the most impactful. They are the steps that build the foundation of your learning, your growth, your confidence. These small steps will teach you along the way, and as you learn you will continue to see the next step. Does that mean that every step will be the right one or go exactly how you thought it would. Heck no! With the right mindset though, you will learn something from every step and if you are humble and committed enough to apply that learning the following steps will be even more valuable. It won’t happen overnight, but if you are willing to start and consistently take the small steps you will get there.
